happy halloween :D

What is the good thing about Halloween??  Its all about remembering our loved ones who died and already in the bosom of God.  Its not about being scared with stories, ghosts or witches... its about having pumpkin, candies, costumes, kids, basket full of sweets most especially Holiday rest days.  Its about remembering my grandma, grandpa, cousin and relatives who passed away
years ago...

They will always be remembered in our hearts.

Freedom Day

Yes... Freedom is a noun... means independence, license to do as one wants or political independence rather, in other words

abolition, abolitionism, autarchy, autonomy, citizenship, deliverance, delivery, democracy, discharge, disengagement, disimprisonment, emancipation, enfranchisement, exemption, extriction, franchise, home rule, immunity, impunity, liberation, liberty, manumission, parole, prerogative, privilege, probation, redemption, release, relief, representative government, rescue, salvage, salvation, self-determination, self-government, sovereignty... etc.

Being free is having carte blanche from worries, anxieties...and being immuned to everything! But whatever freedom that you have, you have to face your responsibility as a human, as a Filipino.  Practicing patriotism is simply showing how proud are you to be one of them.  Same goes as Andres Bonifacio became one of our heroes here.  Well, nakakatawa isipin, one joke says, Andres Bonifacio atapang atao, aputol a kamay, di atakbo, aputol apaa, di atakbo, aputol a ulo... tapos na po.

7 Powerful Ways to Keep Your Love Alive

When we fall in love, we usually think that's all we'll need to be happy. However, when reality sets in and we have our first real argument, we get hit with the realization that our partner isn't perfect.

In the beginning of a relationship we do our best to give our partner the benefit of the doubt, expressing our love and goodwill, even when we're upset. However, as time goes on, it can get harder to resolve arguments and, therefore, harder to feel loving and forgiving towards our partner. It's at these times that we start to ask ourselves, is there a secret to making a relationship last? Is it really possible to live happily ever after?
The answer to these questions is, "Yes!" However, the hardest question to answer is: How do we do it? How do I have a lasting, happy relationship that doesn't end in a painful breakup?

The first thing to remember is that keeping a partnership healthy and happy requires work and that it will not happen on its own -- just like a flower won't grow if it isn't watered and fed. Relationships need nurturing, tending to, time, and energy! We often forget that a couple contains two human beings who both need to be appreciated, heard, valued, and respected.

With this in mind, here are seven ways to make your relationship last:

1. Keep the lines of communication open. If you don't know how to express your feelings and/or have poor listening skills, learn to get better at both. You can read a book, take a class, or get into counseling. Good communication requires both the ability to express and listen.

2. Don't sweep your fights under the rug and think they'll magically resolve themselves. Do your best to resolve your first argument as soon as it arises so you won't have the same argument for the next 50 years, in different forms.

3. Remember that you love your partner; therefore, you want the best for her/him. Give her/him the benefit of the doubt when you feel angry, hurt, or disappointed. Talk to your partner; don't make assumptions.

4. Don't take your partner for granted. Tell your partner every day something you appreciate about her/him and how grateful you are to have them in your life.

5. Your partner should never feel like your enemy. If they do, something is wrong; remember that you fell in love with this person. If there's so much anger that you feel like you are enemies, get help somewhere as quickly as possible.

6. Gauge your relationship. Notice and don't ignore the warning signs if you're not talking, you're less affectionate, you're fighting all the time, and you're not happy. The sooner you acknowledge you're having problems, the sooner you can begin to solve them.

7. Always remember that you have the power to change behaviors in your relationship through different tools of self-discovery. You don't have to stay stuck in unhealthy ruts.

Good, lasting relationships are made up of two conscious individuals who have the desire to work on themselves with the determination to stay focused on the importance of their relationship. They do not take their partner for granted. They have their partner's best interest at heart and, therefore, build trust with their partner. When arguments come up, they don't ignore them. They address the issues and try to resolve them. When they see warning signs that their relationship could be in trouble, they act immediately and look for new ways to relate to each other.

This can be accomplished by anyone who is willing to take the time and energy to make their relationship a priority in their life. Nurture your partnership as it so richly deserves! You can live happily ever after, not with magic, but with work, awareness, and knowledge of yourself and your partner.

Its June...

It was raining before the month of June began...I want to feel happy though each time the feeling of gloominess surrounds me.  I just wanted to sleep all day.  Well, in fact I am deprived of sleep everyday.  Perhaps I'd rather sleep than to go out with the my friends.  What are the special things I should expect for this month?  Last June 1, I already got my mid yr bonus, I almost spent half of it and still enjoying the 1/3 of it hahaha! Will buy a new celfone instead.  For the last week of June, I keep my fingers crossed with the promotion I am expecting from my boss. From JAM 1 to JAM 2.  At least I should say, that I wont go out of BDO being JAM 1 forever.  I always prayed for this promotion and I deserve this rather.  Many things had happened from my past job... which made me a better person, earned with a lot of respect.

yes. Respect.  I read this passage from the Bible which says,

"Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you -- who are you to judge your neighbor?" (James 4:11-12)

Love Your Work

loveyourworkb

One of the most quoted poems during the month of love is Elizabeth Barret Browning’s “How Do I love Thee? Let me count the ways…”

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth
And height my soul can reach,
When feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, — I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! — and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Everyday, hundreds if not thousands of people are losing their jobs because of the global financial crisis.

If you still have work. Thank the Lord for it. Value it and love your job.

How do you love your work? Let me count the ways by which you could show your love for your job.

1)    Be present and punctual. Our presence and punctuality are evidences of being a responsible worker. Report for work on time and submit your   reports and assignments even before the deadline. It is hard to rely on someone who is always not around.

2)    Be productive. Don’t just be present and punctual. Ang sideline, di dapat nakagambala sa ating main line of work. Are you contributing to the revenues of your company? Dapat lang. Be productive.

3)    Be a player, a team player. Nurture strong relationships with your team members. That is one way of making yourself valuable in the company. Being a people-person is an asset. It is a trait that we should learn to develop. A good relationship with your team is a strong glue that will help you stick with your company. If you were to choose the people whom you will work with, will you eagerly choose yourself to be part of the team? Show that you love your work by being a team player.

4)    Be perceptive and positive. These days, it’s an edge to be in the loop, to be informed and updated. Do you understand the potential impact of the global crisis in your industry? It is good to be perceptive. It is an advantage to know how to read and interpret the signs of the times. But don’t just be perceptive. Sa dami ng mga not-so-good news ngayon, it is imperative that we remain positive. We can be positive because we have a BIG God who remains to be in control.

5)    Being prayerful. Do you honestly take time to pray for your company, your boss, your co-workers, and your work? Prayer works! If you love your work, pray for it. Pray that you will always be a blessing in your workplace.

Do you love your work? You should, because many people are losing theirs. Make a conscious effort to value  and love your work more. How can we show our love for our work? Let’s count the ways, 1) Be Present and Punctual; 2) Be Productive;  3) Be a team-Player; 4) Be Perceptive and Positive; and 5) Be Prayerful.
